The Suarez family are one of the largest vineyard owners in what is now called Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley. This is their first Chardonnay from old vines that sit firmly in chalky soils. Altamira is a great place for Chardonnay, since it is a neutral grape that carries the flavour of soils. Elegant on the nose, with a steely minerality and white peach notes. Very stony and lean in the mouth. Recommend to those who like Chablis.
